The Student Loan Fund (SLF) is facing debt of more than 100 billion baht, up from 90 billion baht in 2022. The increase is due to several factors, including the economic downturn, the rising cost of living, and the difficulty of finding a job after graduation.

Graduates are still defaulting on repayments despite having more than enough savings to pay off their student loans, according to a study by the National Economic and Social Development Council.
